Chamber to Honor Distinguished Citizens on Feb. 5

The 41st annual Hermiston Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Citizens Awards Banquet is just a day away, so be sure to get your tickets before they sell out.

Presented by Amber Energy Morrow Pacific Project, the banquet gets under way at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5 at the Hermiston Conference Center. The chamber is rolling out the “Red Carpet” again this year as it honors those in the community who have worked toward the betterment and success of the greater Hermiston area.

Bryan Wolfe will be the master of ceremonies and award categories for the night will be: Hermiston Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year sponsored by Umatilla County Tourism, Woman of the Year sponsored by Home Town Mortgage Group, Business of the Year sponsored by Hermiston Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award sponsored by Umatilla Electric Cooperative, Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year Award sponsored by Ambre Energy Morrow Pacific Project, Mayor’s Award presented by the city of Hermiston, Fire Service Award, the Altrusan’s Outstanding Young Citizen Award, Hermiston School District Educators and Administrator of the Year.

This year’s dinner will be catered by O’Callahan’s Catering & Special Events with a no-host bar by Anderson Event Services.
