An agriculture-themed Christmas light display will be open to the public starting Dec. 1 at the SAGE Center.
A lighting event is set for Dec. 1 from 6-8 p.m. at the center, 101 Olson Road, where residents can drink hot chocolate and have cookies while enjoying the light show. The show will be set to music, which will be broadcast on 106.9 FM.
Donations of non-perishable food items will be accepted and donated to CAPECO for the duration of the display. The light show will remain operational from Dec. 1 through the New Year’s holiday.
The Port of Morrow accepted an offer from David Pichcuskie and hired him to construct the display. Pichcuskie is known for his home Christmas light display in Stanfield.
“Moving the show is an opportunity to share it with more people and gather donations for a great cause,” Pichcuskie said.
Trees and other Christmas décor will be illuminated alongside a spray rig, a combine, and a tractor, all provided by Morrow County Grain Growers.
“The Christmas light show is a beautiful display that many people will be able to enjoy as we kick off the holiday season,” said Kalie Davis, SAGE Center manager. “Morrow County Grain Growers donated the equipment that will be featured in the light show and David has done a wonderful job of including the farm equipment in the show.”
