Cornelious M. “Corndog” Lewis died on Jan. 3, 2026 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 57.
He was born on July 11, 1968 in Longview, Texas.
Corndog was raised and attended schools in Gilmer, Texas where he excelled in sports, especially baseball. He graduated from Gilmer High School in the class of 1986. Corndog married Pamela Frick and they moved to Hermiston in 1992, where they have lived since. He had worked as an electrician for Lamb Weston since. Corndog enjoyed playing baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Lewis; parents, Eddie Joe and Emma Smith; sons, Kiante Frick and Spencer Lewis; daughters, Rebekah and Mar’Cella Lewis; granddaughters, Kianna N. Samya, Whiti, Trustin, Nevaeh, and Cayah; grandsons, Kortland, Kyrie, Torrion, Zion and Creed; brothers, Asa and Anthony Stine; sister, Courtney Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Corndog joins his family in heaven: son, Corleone M. “Booter” Lewis; his in-laws, Richard and Alice Frick; daughter, Kianna R. Frick; granddaughter, Ayala Lewis; and brother-in-law, Kent Frick.
A celebration of life service for Corndog and Booter will be held on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.
