Hermiston Parks and Recreation is registering now for the Kids Triathlon event taking place on Saturday, June 24, at 9 a.m. This swimming, bicycling and running event is for kids from 4 through 12 years.
All 7- through 12-year-olds must be able to swim 50 meters, bike 1 mile, and run .75 mile. All 4- through 6-year-olds must be able to swim 50 feet (lifejackets are available), bike .6 mile (training wheels are allowed), and run .4 mile.
The cost is $15 per participant for residents and $18 per participant for non-residents. The registration deadline is June 17. Call 541-667-5018 to sign up.
All participants are winners by finishing this non-competitive annual event, sponsored by Tom’s Country.
