Dewayne H. “Jake” Jacobs died on March 30, 2025 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 87.
He was born on Jan. 10, 1938 in Baker City to Howard and Goldie Jacobs.
Jake was raised and attended school in Baker City. He married Patty Neely on March 1, 1956. Jake worked heavy construction all over the West Coast and for 15 months in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Patty Jacobs, Hermiston; children, Robert Jacobs, Nampa, Idaho, Paddi Hall, Apple Valley, Calif. and Tammi Hornshaw, Lynnwood, Wash.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren with three more on the way.
At his request there will be no service.
