Dispute Leads to Shooting at Stanfield Party

Police are investigating an incident in which two people were shot during a party in Stanfield early Saturday morning.

According to the Stanfield Police Department, officers were called to report of a loud party on the 900 block of S. Main Street around 2:47 a.m. Upon their arrival, the officers found two adults at the party had been shot following a dispute. The two were treated at Good Shepherd Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. They were later released.

According to the Stanfield police, the shooting appears to be an isolated incident with no danger to the general public.

The Major Crime Team has been activated to assist in investigation. The Stanfield Police Department is being assisted by the Umatilla Police Department, Hermiston Police Department, Boardman Police Department, Milton-Freewater Police Department, Tribal Police, and the Oregon State Police. The Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office is also assisting with the investigation.
