The Hermiston School Board approved the 2016-17 school calendar during a special meeting on Monday.
The school year gets under way on Monday, Aug. 29, with the last day of school scheduled for June 7, 2017.
Graduation will be Saturday, June 3, 2016. The district will observe winter break from Dec. 21, 2016, through Jan. 2, 2017, and spring break will fall on March 27-31, 2017.
