Don E. Hicks of Hermiston passed away in Hermiston on July 13, 2025 at the age of 80.
He was born on June 27, 1945 in Blanche, Mo. to Orville and Ruth Lambert Hicks.
Don grew up in Douglas County, Missouri, where he received his education. In his youth, he played the guitar and played in several bands. He also enjoyed working on the family farm in Missouri. Don drove truck throughout his career and enjoyed his many adventures throughout the United States.
He is survived by a son, Randy Hicks; daughters, Cindy Smith and Donna Long; son, Les Johnson; sister, Wilma Hamby; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Rocky Hicks; his parents; and a sister, Wava Barnhart.
Services will be announced at a later time.
Burial will be in the family plot in Missouri.
