Dorothy Brangham Passes Away at 93

Dorothy J. Brangham died on Aug. 20, 2026 at her home in Hermiston at the age of 93.

She was born on Feb. 15, 1933 in Evanston, Wyo. to Elijah Perkins Jr. and Ethel Turner Perkins.

Dorothy was raised and attended school in Evanston, Wyo. She married Jack Brangham on Nov. 29, 1950 in Hilliard, Wyo. They lived in Wyoming, Idaho, and Washington before settling in Hermiston in 1962 and built their home, where she lived out her life.

Dorothy worked in cattle ranching, as a clerk at the sale yard and at Mode O’ Day for several years. She enjoyed cattle, crocheting, dancing, going to the senior lunches and visiting with people.

She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Myers, Hermiston; Kim Tibbals and her husband Hunter, Hermiston; son, Kelly Brangham and his wife Marcine, Hermiston; sisters, Ellen Perkins, Evanston, Wyo. and Patsy Stahley, Riverside, Calif.; grandchildren, Layci (Brent), Kyle, Kenzie (Todd), Whitney (Scott), Jordan (Molly) and Kitty (Cully); and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Randy; son-in-law, Andy; grandsons, Kyle and Seth; her parents; and siblings, Raymond, Jack, Mary, Betty, Virginia and Peggy and her husband.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel, Hermiston.

Burial will follow at the Hermiston Cemetery.
