A Hermiston man suffered minor injuries Saturday in a three-vehicle accident near Fiesta Foods.

A motorist ran a red light at Theater Lane Saturday morning causing a three-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Hermiston.

According to the Hermiston Police Department, Joleen Pruett-Mitchell, 47, of Hermiston, failed to stop at a red light as she was driving eastbound on W. Theater Lane in a 2012 Honda Civic. Mitchell’s car rear-ended a 2005 Nissan Sentra driven by Michael Neighbors, 43, of Hermiston. The collision pushed Neighbor’s Sentra into the intersection of Theater Lane and Highway 395 causing it to strike a 2014 Volvo semi driven by Benny Lat, 49, of Spokane.

Neighbors’ vehicle was partially under the semi and was pushed onto the grass near Fiesta Foods. Neighbors was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center with minor cuts and bruises. No other injuries were reported.

Mitchell was cited for careless driving.
