PASCO, Wash.-The season may be over, but Tri-City Dust Devils starting pitcher Ryan Johnson has been named to the 2025 Northwest League (NWL) All-Star Team.
Johnson was drafted 74th overall by the Los Angeles Angels out of Dallas Baptist in the 2024 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft, and made the 2025 Opening Day roster, pitching out of the bullpen against the White Sox.
Johnson joined the Dust Devils on May 9, making 12 starts for the team throughout the summer, including a dominant one-hit, complete game shutout of the Spokane Indians on July 5, during which the right-hander retired the last 25 batters he faced.
According to a Dust Devils release on his NWL All-Star selection, Johnson was named pitcher of the week for the shutout, and his June 18th start against Hillsboro, where he struck out seven over seven innings, while not allowing a run.
Johnson posted a 4-3 record on the year with an Earned Run Average (ERA) of 1.88 over 57.1 innings on the mound for the Dust Devils.
The Tri-City Dust Devils have been members of the NWL, comprised of teams from Oregon, Washington and Vancouver, B.C., since 2001 and enjoy support from local fans and the broader community, including Northeast Oregon throughout the summer.
This season, Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) in Hermiston partnered with the organization to become the official hospital sponsor of the Tri-City Dust Devils, a relationship rooted in the shared values of community health and wellness.
