E. Oregon Man Dies in Highway Crash

A 27-year-old Union man died Sunday in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 237.

Law enforcement officials say they are still investigating the cause of a crash on Sunday that took the life of an Eastern Oregon Man near North Powder.

The Oregon State Police is reporting that a 27-year-old Union man, Anthony A. George, was killed when his 2012 Ford Focus that was traveling northbound on Highway 237 drifted across the southbound lane, left the road and struck several fog markers and a tree.

George was pronounced dead at the scene.

OSP was assisted by and La Grande Fire. The OSP said contributing factors to the crash are not yet known.
