PENDLETON, Ore. – The Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) State Basketball Tournament is underway and some Eastern Oregon schools are still in the hunt for some hardware.
On the girl’s side of the bracket Weston-McEwen, Stanfield, La Grande and Baker are still playing in their respective classifications. On the boy’s side Nixyáawii, Stanfield and La Grande are set to take to the court.
OSAA Girls High School Basketball State Tournament:
2A Girls Basketball:
Stanfield will take on Banfield in a quarterfinal matchup on the afternoon of March 6 at Pendleton High School, with tip-off set for 1:30 p.m.
The Weston-McEwen Tiger-Scots will play Knappa in another quarterfinal matchup at Pendleton High School, also on March 6, with tip-off scheduled for 8:15 p.m.
4A Girls Basketball:
Greater Oregon League Champions La Grande will play The Dalles in the first-round of the tournament on Friday, March 7 at 6 p.m. at Forest Grove High School.
Baker will take on Marshfield in another first-round matchup at Forest Grove High at 8:30 p.m.
OSAA Boys High School Basketball State Tournament:
1A Boys Basketball:
Nixyáawii will face Country Christian in the Baker High gym at 6:30 p.m. on March 6.
2A Boys Basketball:
Stanfield is set to play Oakland in a quarterfinal matchup at 6:30 p.m. on March 6 in the Pendleton Convention Center.
4A Boys Basketball:
La Grande will take on Marshfield in a first-round game on March 8 at Forest Grove High School.
