Estela Falcon Passes Away at 100

Estela Pereda Falcon of Hermiston was born on July 14, 1925 in Durango, Mexico to Canuto Pereda and Petra Calvo.

Estela had resided at Guardian Angel Homes in Hermiston until her passing on Aug. 9, 2025.

Estela met Pedro Falcon in Texas and the couple married in October 1948. Later in years the family moved to Oregon and resided in Gaston, where they operated a vegetable and fruit stand for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro in 2010.

She was the mother of 10 surviving children, Maria Isabel Falcon-Pilotti and husband Chris Pilotti, Maria Luisa Huling and husband Fred, Rosa Elvia Backman and husband Michael, Rosa Linda Parsons and husband Mike, Sylvia Falcon, Elma O’Dell and husband Mark Devos, Patricia Lee and husband Kirk, Pedro Falcon Jr. and wife Brenda, Esther Miller and husband Les, and Alicia Richardson; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members. Most of her children reside in the Washington County area, and one in Wilsonville and one in Everett, Wash.

A private family burial was held at the Hermiston Cemetery.
