A tour of the SAGE Center in Boardman offered by the Tour of Knowledge has been re-scheduled from Friday, April 19 to Friday, June 14 at 6 p.m.

The Tour of Knowledge carpool will leave from the Hermiston Masonic Lodge parking lot between 5 and 5:30 p.m. Transportation to Boardman will be provided by the Tom Denchel Ford shuttle bus. Kalie Davis, SAGE Center manager, will serve as guide for the tour.

“Anyone who wants to attend the sneak preview can catch a ride to Boardman with us” said Eileen Laramore, director of the Tour of Knowledge. “Or they can meet up with the tour in the parking lot at the SAGE Center. Space is limited so it’s a good idea to sign up right away.”

The Sustainable Agriculture and Energy Center(SAGE Center) will highlight sophisticated technology used by area growers while educating people about the area’s natural resources, bio-fuel projects, and will feature a simulated hot air balloon flight over Morrow County.

This is the second of four free tours the Tour of Knowledge is offering this spring. On May 15, JR Cook, executive director of the Umatilla Basin Water Commission, will be the host as the Tour of Knowledge visits the Aquifer Recharge Project.
