HERMISTON, OR – Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) is delighted to announce the addition of Board-Certified Pediatrician Madalina Mindrut, MD, FAAP, to Good Shepherd Pediatrics located at 600 NW 11th St, Suite E-33 in Hermiston, OR.
“We are excited Dr. Mindrut has chosen to join us at Good Shepherd,” shared GSHCS President & CEO Art Mathisen. “Her expertise and commitment to children’s health will significantly strengthen our mission to provide exceptional care for our young patients and their families.”
Dr. Mindrut completed her Doctor of Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL, and her Pediatric Residency from Advocate Lutheran General Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. She is Board-Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and holds the distinction of Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).
Reflecting on her decision to practice at Good Shepherd, Dr. Mindrut stated, “There is a real focus here at GSHCS to grow with the community, to deliver more care that the community needs, and to do this with high quality care standards. I look forward to being part of this growth within the Good Shepherd Health Care System and within the community!”
Passionate about pediatric health and wellness, Dr. Mindrut feels fortunate to work with children and families. “During my medical training, I discovered that engaging with children and their parents in pediatrics is a calling that is so fulfilling. Children are impressive in so many ways! They are curious and extremely resilient. They are also our future, and being able to help shape our future, in this way, is something very special.”
With 16 years of experience serving patients from newborns up to age 26, Dr. Mindrut emphasizes a holistic approach to care. “I’ll be caring for newborns and children both in the hospital setting and, in the clinic,” shared Dr. Mindrut. “I enjoy conducting regular well-child visits to discuss developmental milestones and addressing specific health concerns,
whether it’s a fever, behavioral challenges, or other issues. Collaborating with parents and our treatment team is vital to ensuring every child receives the right treatment plan.”
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Mindrut enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and bike riding. Having danced for many years, she likes to dance as often as she can. She also enjoys skiing in the winter months and appreciates the vastness of nature in the mountains.
“I am truly excited to be here and get to know the community,” shared Dr. Mindrut. “I look forward to fostering lasting relationships in Northeast Oregon and being part of a remarkable team that makes a real difference in our community’s health. And of course, I can’t wait to enjoy lots of watermelon – it’s my favorite!
