Good Shepherd Offering Series of Wellness Workshops in January

If you’re looking to make 2019 the year to improve your health and quality of life, three wellness workshops offered by Good Shepherd Health Care System might be just the ticket.

Matter of Balance is a free eight-week course for those 60 and over. It emphasizes practical strategies to reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels. Classes take place on Mondays, Jan. 14-March 4 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Hermiston Senior Center, 255 N.E. Jump Starting Weight Loss Through Exercise is for adults 18 and over who have tried unsuccessfully to start or maintain an exercise program. This free workshop can give you the information you need to improve your health and decrease body fat. It goes from noon to 1 p.m. in Good Shepherd conference room 2 and is available on Saturday, Jan. 19; Saturday, Jan. 26; or Wednesday, Jan. 30. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Living Well is a six-week course designed to build a personal health and wellness tool kit for those living with lifelong health conditions that impact quality of life. Participants will learn proven skills that can enhance well-being. Classes take place on Tuesdays, Jan. 22-Mar 5 in the Good Shepherd Wellness Center.
