Good Shepherd to Hold COVID-19 Mass Vaccine Event on Dec. 21

Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) is offering free COVID vaccines, including initial series (1st & 2nd) and booster (3rd) doses on Tuesday, Dec. 21.

The event goes from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in GSHCS Conference Centers 1 and 2.

No appointment is needed, and community members should bring their vaccination cards with them if applicable.

Good Shepherd has the Moderna vaccine (authorized for those 18 and older) and the Pfizer vaccine (authorized for those 12 and older) as well as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine (authorized for those 18 and older). For ages 12 to 14 a parent or guardian must be present.

In accordance with Oregon Law, patients 15 and older can self-consent for the vaccine.  Good Shepherd is not providing the Pfizer vaccine for 5-11 year-olds at this event.  The Pfizer vaccine is available for 5-11 year-olds by appointment at Good Shepherd Urgent Care (541-567-2995) as well as Good Shepherd Pediatrics Clinic (541-667-3740), or book an appointment online.  Other local locations offering the vaccine are listed on Umatilla County Public Health’s website.

Individuals receiving a vaccine should be prepared for 15 minutes of required monitoring after vaccine administration. Community members may call and leave a message on Good Shepherd’s COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline at 541-667-3426 if they have any questions about vaccinations.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR BOOSTERS:

  • Moderna Booster (3rd dose)
    • Must be age 18 +
    • Must be 6 months or more after receiving primary series
  • Pfizer Booster (3rd dose)
    • Must be age 16 +
    • Must be 6 months or more after receiving primary series
  • J&J Booster (2nd dose)
    • Must be age 18 +
    • Must be 2 months after receiving first dose
