HERMISTON, Ore.-Good Shepherd will host a free Podiatry Seminar on January 14 in Hermiston.
Podiatry: Foot and Ankle Care presented by Podiatrist Kyle Duncan, DPM, is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Conference Centers 1 and 2 on the Good Shepherd Health Care System campus.
“Our feet are really impressive structures in terms of the use and abuse they are able to take without giving us problems,” said Dr. Duncan. “But when those problems arise, and they become painful, it can make everyday life incredibly difficult.”
Common foot and ankle problems, and how they affect other parts of the body and overall health will be covered at the seminar, and heavy hors d’ouvres and dessert will be provided.
The seminar will cover the early warning signs of foot and ankle issues, pain and injury prevention tips, diabetic foot care, and how foot health relates to balance and joint health.
Those with questions about general foot health or specific foot and ankle problems would benefit from the seminar, according to Dr. Duncan, who will cover some of the problems he sees in clinic, and hopes the event will result in discussion about topics that attendees are curious about.
Those hoping to attend the podiatry seminar should RSVP by January 13 online at https://www.eventbrite.com/…/free-podiatry-seminar… or by calling 541.667.3460.
