Halloween fun planned throughout Northeast Oregon

HERMISTON, Ore.-From corn mazes and costumes to trunk-or-treats and festivals, Halloween events abound across Northeast Oregon over the next few weeks. 

Boardman 

Spooky Movies at Boardman Marina Park: “Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Ghostbusters” will be shown starting at dusk on October 25. The movies are free, attendees should bring blankets, lawn chairs and snacks. 

Halloween Maze: October 29-31 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Boardman Pool and Recreation Center at 311 N. Olson. 

Boardman Community Candy Crawl: October 31, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Sage Event Center at 101 Olson Road. 

Taylor Pumpkin Patch: Open Wednesday and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. until dark and Fridays through Sundays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. October 5-31. 

Umatilla 

McClanahan Summit Annual Trunk or Treat: 4-6 p.m. on October 24 at 305 Taft Street in Umatilla. 

Trick or Treat on 6th Street: Event on October 24 put on by the Umatilla Chamber of Commerce and the City of Umatilla runs from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. and includes a pet costume contest.

Umatilla High School Haunted House: 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on October 24 at 1400 7th Street. First hour is family-friendly and costs $1, while the spooky hour is $2. 

Milton-Freewater 

Festival of Fun and Fright: Trick-or-Treat event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on October 31 on North Main Street. Costumes are encouraged for family-friendly event that features candy stops from businesses, clubs and neighbors. 

Hermiston 

Treats on Main and Beyond: A free, safe trick-or-treat event on October 31 from Hermiston Parks and Recreation and downtown businesses. Kids can get candy downtown from 3-5 p.m. and enjoy carnival games at the Community Center from 4-6 p.m. 

Guardian Angel Homes Halloween Carnival: Event on October 30 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at 540 NW 12th Street includes trick-or-treating, a bake sale, games, prizes and crafts. Hot dogs, chips and pop will be available for donations.  

Trunk of Treat 2025: Free, family-friendly event from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on October 31 features candy, cars and community at City Auto Sales located at 80857 N. Highway 395. 

Halloween Party and Story Time: November 1 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at The Next Chapter Bookstore at 1000 S. Highway 395 Ste. C. Event will feature Halloween-themed story time, Halloween and book-themed crafts, carnival games and costumes. 

Fall Fest 2025: October 31 from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at HermNaz Church at 1520 W. Orchard Avenue. Free, family-friendly event features a trunk-or-treat, hayrides, games, popcorn and a selfie station. 

Boo-tiful Bags and Baked Goods Pop-up: October 19 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Wildcat Baristas and Brew. Sherry’s Hand Sewn Bags and Simple Blessings Bakers will be offering Halloween bags and decorated sugar cookies. 

ARC of Umatilla Halloween Dance: October 26 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Hermiston Community Center. The dance costs $5 and costumes are encouraged. 

ARC of Umatilla Activity Night Bingo Costume Contest: October 28 at 5:30 p.m. in Thompson Hall next to the Hermiston Post Office. 

Hermiston High School Costume Bingo Night: October 27 from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. $10 for five games of bingo.

Stanfield 

Stanfield’s Haunted Library: October 30 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Stanfield Public Library. “Scarytales” is a twist on traditional fairy tales. 

Halloween at Station 24: UCFD1 will be at the station located at 280 W. Coe from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. offering candy, tours, hot dogs and treats.

Echo 

Echo Corn Maze: Open through November 8 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Fridays, 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sundays. 

Pendleton 

Fall Festival: 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on October 18 in Roy Raley Park. Features a costume contest, trick-or-treating, storytime with the Pendleton Public Library, book giveaways, carnival games, a toddler play zone and food vendors. 

Pendleton’s 1st Annual Halloween Parade: 4 p.m. on October 25 at 579 S. Main Street. 

Altrusa Halloween Story Time at the Pendleton Public Library: October 18 at 11 a.m. 

The Addams Family Musical: Production by the Pendleton Theater Company on October 24, 25, 31 and November 1 in the Vert Auditorium at 480 SW Dorian Avenue. Tickets are available online. 

7th Annual Heritage Haunt: Free event on October 31 at the Heritage Station Museum at 108 SW Frazer Avenue from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m. 

Blue Mountain Community College Inaugural Trunk-or-Treat: October 27 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the BMCC campus at 2411 NW Carden Avenue.
