The Christmas Express program put on each year by the Hermiston Police Department received a gift of its own last week from a local service club.
The Hermiston Rotary Club presented Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston with a check for $8,000 to ensure there will be a successful program in 2019.
Edmiston said the gift makes a huge difference and expressed his gratitude to the Rotarians.
“Rotary has always been the largest financial contributor to the program and each year it costs around $15,000 to pull things off,” said Edmiston.
This year will be 50th anniversary of the Christmas Express Program.
