BAKER CITY, Ore.-The Baker High School Bulldogs football team will be looking for some redemption in the 4A Greater Oregon League (GOL) in 2025.
Baker lost several key offensive weapons, including their starting quarterback and two receiving threats to injury last season, and finished with a 1-8 record.
First-year head coach Jeff Olivier will lead the Bulldogs this season after taking over for Jason Ramos.
“I’m excited to see our players buy in,” said Coach Olivier, as his team prepares for the season opener.
Baker has 12 seniors on the roster this season, including receiver Connor Martin and Daniel Maldonado, a running back, both of whom should be impact players as the Bulldogs look to rebound, according to Coach Olivier.
Quin Wellman, a junior, is competing with two sophomores for Baker’s starting quarterback position this fall.
The Bulldogs have a tough non-league schedule that includes matchups with Cascade, Scappoose, Marshfield and Vale, before beginning Greater Oregon League play against Pendleton, followed by La Grande and Ontario.
“La Grande and Vale are always fun local rivalries for us,” said Coach Olivier.
Baker’s full 2025 football schedule is available online.
The Baker Bulldogs kickoff the season at home against Cascade on August 29 at 7 p.m.
