The following are recent arrests made by the Hermiston Police Department:

April 12: John Jacob Vanswoll, 38, was arrested near N. 1st Street and Harper Road and charged with third-degree theft (shoplifting less than $100).

April 10: Devin Lindsey Christensen, 32, was arrested on the 700 block of W. Hermiston Avenue and charged with first-degree theft (shoplifting more than $1,000), and first-degree criminal trespass.

April 9: Hugo Ochoa Sanchez, 33, was arrested near E. Beech Avenue and N. 1st Street and charged with misdemeanor failure to appear, and misdemeanor probation violation.

April 9: Nicholas Andrew Draper, 31, was arrested on the 1400 block of N.E. Madrona Drive and charged with second-degree criminal mischief, and reckless driving.

April 9: Bertin Martinez-Santos, 40, was arrested near Minnehaha Road and Rudder Lane and charged with reckless driving, and hit-and-run (property).

April 8: Sergio Chavez Ochoa, 62, was arrested near S. Highway 395 and S.E. Kelli Boulevard and charged with DUII (alcohol), reckless driving, reckless endangering, DWS/R violation, refusal to take breath test, and failure to install ignition interlock device.

April 8: John Jacob Vanswoll, 38, was arrested on the 400 block of N. 1st Street and charged with felony failure to appear.

April 8: Jessy M. Duran, 30, was arrested near W. Moore and S. 1st Street and charged with second-degree theft (shoplifting $101-$1,000).

April 8: Xavier Michael Rodriguez, 31, was arrested on the 0 block of W. Beech Avenue and charged with felony probation violation.

April 7: Anthony Hugh Mortensen, 21, near N.E. 4th Street and E. Jennie Avenue and charged with carrying of concealed weapons, and reckless driving.

April 7: Gregory Lewis Canselo, 26, was arrested near E. Jennie Avenue and N. 1st Street and charged with misdemeanor probation violation, third-degree escape, and resisting arrest.

April 7: Malachi Donovan Siler, 22, was arrested on the 300 block of S. 1st Street and charged with misdemeanor probation violation, and misdemeanor failure to appear.
