Judith A. “Judy” Franke, of Irrigon, died on April 17, 2015 in Hermiston at the age of 62.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1953 in Moses Lake, Wash., to Lloyd Oscar Franke and Helen Bernice (Reinarz) Franke, the youngest of seven children.
When she was 8 months old her family moved to Irrigon where Judy lived until she married at the age of 26. She married Herb Prosser in 1978 and had two children. Judy and Herb later divorced and in 1987 she married Gene Wolverton. They divorced in 1998 and Judy moved back home to the family property in Irrigon. She loved being home and working outside in her yard. Judy worked for 22 years at Good Shepherd Medical Center as a receptionist in the x-ray/radiology department. She loved the outdoors and gardening as well as reading. Judy was an avid supporter of her grandchildren and their many sports and school activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, JoAnne Court and Jean Ann Franke; and a brother, David Franke.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Mandie Studer and husband Ken, Hermiston; son, Bill Prosser and wife Briana, Irrigon; sister, Sharon Hoffman and husband, Jim, Nampa, Idaho; brothers, Jerry Franke, Hereford, Richard Franke, Salem; grandchildren, Dylan, Zachary, and Grace Studer, Trevor, Taylor, and AbbyProsser; and Morgan, Jack, Wyatt & Abigail Curtis; and numerous nieces & nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston. Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Irrigon.
