Jack Lee Wetzel of Boardman passed away in Hermiston on Dec. 3, 2025 at the age of 83.
He was born on June 9, 1942 in Greeley, Neb. to AJ and Donna Cox Wetzel.
Jack grew up and attended schools in Nebraska. He married Paula Wendt in Nebraska on July 19, 1969. The couple moved to Washington for a short time before settling in Boardman in 1974. Jack worked throughout his career as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry.
Jack enjoyed horseback riding, team roping and penning and working around his small ranch in Boardman. He was a master with his hands and built barns, panels and many other construction projects throughout the years. He also played the guitar in a band. His family was very important to him and he made it a point to attend many of their activities throughout his years.
He is survived by his children, Phyllis Town, Pamela Moser, Patricia and husband Chad Davis and Tracy Markham-Van Pool; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula on April 21, 2020.
