Joice Irene Overton died on April 23, 2026 in Hermiston at the age of 88.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1937 in Payette, Idaho to William and Leona McGinnis Hunsucker.
Joice was an author who published several books and enjoyed painting, sewing, bead work and horses.
She is survived by her children, Sonny Rider, Umatilla, Lance Rider, Twisp, Wash. and Paul Rider, Stanfield; daughter, Kathern Ford, Hermiston; brother, Johnnie Hunsucker, Reedsport; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Joice was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Overton; her parents; a brother, Eugene; and a sister, Babe.
A private family gathering will be held.
