Ken Wizner Passes Away at 67

Kenneth D. “Ken” Wizner died on Feb. 24, 2020 at his home in Hermiston at the age of 67.

He was born on Aug. 13, 1952 in Pendleton to John and Lucille Dungan Wizner.

Ken was raised in Pendleton and Athena. He graduated from Weston-McEwen High School in the class of 1970. He served in the United States Marine Corps until his honorable discharge. Ken then attended Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton for two years. Ken moved to Hermiston in the early 1980s, where he had lived since. He worked as an electrician for Lamb Weston until retiring in 2017.

Ken enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to the beach, fishing and listening to music, and he loved time with his grandchildren. Ken had a heart of gold and was always eager to help anyone in need.

He is survived by his son, Paul Wizner and his wife Jaime, Sandy, Utah; sister, Charlene Wilson Nunley, Portland; brother, Raymond Wizner, Hermiston; grandchildren, Ashley and Brett; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, George and Oscar Wizner; and sisters, Theresa Daniels Davis, Ramona Black and Delores Daniels.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 1 until 3 p.m. at the Maxwell Siding Pavilion, 255 N. First St., Hermiston.
