Kimberly Ann Ayers died on June 3, 2025 at her home in Hermiston at the age of 61.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1963 in Bellflower, Calif. to J. Kennedy and Janice Sefried Kennedy.
Kim graduated from Umatilla High School in the class of 1981. Kim married Ryan Ayers on March 19, 1988 in Pilot Rock. They moved to Hermiston where she was a stay-at-home mom, raising four children. In 1999, she started working for Chartwells as a lunch lady at West Park Elementary before later working at Sandstone Middle School and then Armand Larive Middle School, where she retired after 26 years of service.
Kim attended Zeal Church and loved serving in the kids’ ministry, teaching the K-1 class. Anyone who knew Kim would know that she loved Jesus. She had four granddaughters and one grandson who all had Grandma’s heart. Any chance she could spend time with them, she would. Kim loved watching them play all of their sporting events and cheering them on.
She is survived by her husband, Ryan Ayers; sons, Allen Baker and wife Kylie, Nicholas Ayers and Rue Ayers; daughter, Chelsie Beers and husband Tyler; brother, Keith Kennedy and wife Shelley; sister, Kristy Kennedy; grandchildren, Novaleigh, Addisyn, Andy, Audrey and Taetum; nieces, Kaitlin and Kassie; and nephew, Bryce.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Zeal Church, 730 E. Hurlburt Ave., Hermiston.
