HEPPNER, Ore.-Multiple fire departments are currently responding to a large wildland fire in the Little Butter Creek and Healy Road area east of Heppner.
The public is asked to avoid the area as fire and emergency crews respond.
The Heppner Fire Department, Morrow County Emergency Management, Lexington Fire and Rescue, Boardman Fire Rescue District, Echo Fire Department, Pilot Rock Fire Department, and Morrow County Public Works are all responding to the fire.
Multiple farmers and landowners are also helping fight the large fire, according to the Heppner Fire Department.
