Loretta Louise Flathers of Hermiston passed away in Hermiston on Oct. 3, 2025 at the age of 66.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1959 in Morenci, Mich. to Leon and Sally Kimling Ball.
Loretta grew up and attended schools in Lemore and Ridgecrest, Calif. After high school, she went to work at the China Lake Naval Air Base in Ridgecrest. She held the position of an office manager, a job she held for 20 years. She later worked for the assessor’s office in Mohave County, Ariz. She worked at the assessor’s office for a total of 15 years and retired in 2017.
Loretta married Johnnie Flathers in Ridgecrest, Calif. on Oct. 1, 1994. The couple moved to Hermiston in 2017. Loretta was an active member of the Hermiston Christian Center. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Johnnie; two brothers, John Ball and Eugene and wife Joanne Ball; and a niece, Melissa.
