Madeline Cecile Thomas passed away on October 21 at the age of 79 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on August 23, 1947 in Long Island, New York to parents Edward Parke and Marion O’Connor.
Madeline married Robert Hewitt Thomas Jr. in the early 1980’s and the couple were married for over 35 years, until his passing in 2017. Together they had a total of 5 children, 1 daughter and 4 sons.
One of Madeline’s favorite activities was traveling and for many years she worked with the traveling fair which took her all over the country. She had many great adventure stories from her travels, which she loved to share with her grandchildren.
Madeline was a proud grandmother and even more proud great-grandmother of many! She was a lover of reading, crocheting, coloring, fishing, and gambling.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, and her husband.
Madeline is survived by her children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Hermiston, Oregon.
