Mark Wesley Frausto passed away on Sept. 12, 2026 at the age of 57 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on Jan. 28, 1969 in Cheyenne, Wyo. to Wesley Bocanegra and Mary Louise “Lupe” Housden.
Mark grew up in Rawlins, Wyo. and graduated from Rawlins High School. At the age of 18, he joined the military. He began his military career in the Navy, serving a total of four years. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Mark went on to enlist in the Army. He would continue serving in the Army for the next 20 years. After 24 years in the military, Mark finally retired. By 2021, Mark’s career as a heavy equipment operator moved him and his family from Montana to Umatilla.
Mark was a proud father of two beautiful daughters. In 2002 he welcomed his first daughter, Alita and two years later he welcomed his second daughter, Kiana.
In 2014 he met his beloved wife, DesiRae Fleming, and they later married on Sept. 26, 2015 in Gillette, Wyo. They were married for nearly 11 years before Mark’s passing.
One of Mark’s greatest passions in life was motorcycles. He and his wife DesiRae were solo riders who loved going for long rides all over the country, meeting new people and making long-term friendships along the way. Mark was also a huge fan of building toy model cars, working in his garage, being outside, and spending time with his beloved dogs, especially his service dog, Kimo.
Mark is survived by his two daughters, Alita and Kiana; his wife, DesiRae; his father, Wesley and mother Lupe; and his four siblings, Tammy, Josh, Natalie, and Louis.
Mark was preceded in death by both of his grandfathers, Luis Griego and Rod Commander and both grandmothers, Conferina Candelaria Greigo and Eva Commander.
Mark will be laid to rest at the Cheyenne National Cemetery in Cheyenne, Wyo. on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026 at 11 a.m.
