Umatilla County Master Gardeners will launch Seed to Supper, a free six-week gardening class, starting May 6 and ending June 10.

The classes will be held in Pendleton every Saturday from 9:30 to 11: 30 a.m. at the Umatilla County Extension’s Pendleton office at Blue Mountain Community College’s Umatilla Hall. The six-week course is a partnership between Umatilla County Master Gardeners, Umatilla County Public Health, and Oregon State University Extension.

Participants of all skill levels are encouraged to join. Each week will cover a different aspect of gardening, including soil preparation, seed starting, irrigation, pest and disease management, harvesting, and more. The course includes a book and all necessary course materials.

Transportation to the classes is available for those who need it, and refreshments will be provided. The meeting room is wheelchair accessible. Space is limited, so interested individuals are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. Call 541-278-6337, or go online to register or get more information.
