A Washington motorist was killed Monday evening in a collision on Interstate 84.
Just after 7:30 p.m., Oregon State Police troopers and emergency personnel responded to a report of a collision on I-84 near milepost 187.
According to the OSP, a Lincoln MKX, operated by Michael Wilson, 65, of Vancouver, Wash., was westbound when it drove onto the shoulder and struck the back of a parked semi-truck with a trailer.
Wilson sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The occupants of the semi-truck were not injured.
The OSP were assisted by the Stanfield Police Department, Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office, the Oregon Department of Transportation, and Umatilla County Fire District #1.
