HERMISTON, Ore.-Hermiston High School has announced the addition of Brittany Day as its new Head Girls Soccer Coach and Kendall Jones as the new Girls Volleyball Head Coach.
“Hermiston Athletics is incredibly fortunate to add both Brittany and Kendall to our head coaching ranks,” said Athletic Director Larry Usher. “Brittany brings a focused and driven energy with years of success at the high school and club level, while Kendall’s deep connection to our school and athletes makes her the perfect fit.”
Day coached for nine years at Green Valley High School in Henderson, Nevada, including five years as Head Coach, before moving to Tri-Cities, Washington, according to the Hermiston School District (HSD).
Last season, Day worked as an assistant coach with the Umatilla High School Girls Soccer team, helping lead the Vikings to the OSAA State Quarterfinals.
“Coaching brings me so much joy,” said Day. ““It’s about more than tactics; it’s about confidence, resilience, and creating meaningful connections. I’m incredibly excited for this new chapter with Hermiston.”

Jones, a La Grande native, coached volleyball in Union, Oregon for five years, and has been an assistant coach at Hermiston the past three seasons.
“I love being part of something bigger, building a space where athletes feel supported and grow as people,” said Jones. “It’s a privilege to walk alongside them in their journeys.”
Both coaches bring experience and energy to their games and have a shared passion for guiding student athletes on and off the field, according to the HSD.
“With their leadership, we are confident these programs and our athletic culture as a whole will thrive,” Usher said, of the Bulldogs’ newest head coaches.
