HERMISTON, Ore.-The Pacific Northwest Collegiate Lacrosse League (PNCLL) Conference Championships will be held at Kennison Field in Hermiston the weekend of April 25.

“I think it’s fantastic that the games are being held in Hermiston,” said Oregon Head Coach Dan Marut. “It’s a great opportunity to bring high-level lacrosse to a part of the state that doesn’t usually get to host events like this.”

The PNCLL is made up of six Division I teams and ten Division II teams from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and British Columbia, Canada.

Boise State, Oregon State, the University of Oregon and Simon Fraser will compete in the D I tournament, while Western Oregon, Northwest Nazarene, the College of Idaho and Montana will play for the D II Championship.

“We faced some early adversity this season with multiple starters out due to injury, which meant our younger players had to step up quickly,” said Coach Marut of his Ducks team that is the #2 seed in the tournament. “We’ve grown a lot as a team, and we’re entering championship weekend focused, hungry, and stronger because of what we’ve been through.”

The semifinals for the D II bracket will be played on Friday, April 25, starting at 10 a.m. when Western Oregon takes on Northwest Nazarene. The College of Idaho will then play Montana at 1 p.m.

The semifinal winners will then meet in the PNCLL D II Championship at noon on Saturday, April 26.
