Law enforcement from around Eastern Oregon rounded up nine people and arrested them for outstanding warrants Thursday night.

Members of the Hermiston Police Department, Boardman Police Department, Blue Mountain Enforcement Narcotics Team (BENT), Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, and Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office worked in unison from 6 to 10 p.m. during a warrant roundup.

In all, nine people were arrested for various warrants and two more were arrested for new charges. Lodged at the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton were:

• Darryl B. Lanphear, 35, of Hermiston
• Carlos J. Barragan, 35, of Hermiston
• Dustin G. Sanders, 31, of Hermiston
• Jillian M. Moore, 28, Hermiston
• Isidro F. Alvarez, 55, Hermiston
• James W. Bell, 39, Hermiston
• Gustavo Lopez, 22, of Umatilla
• Chad A. Brown, 34, of Hermiston
• Jose M. Garcia, 20, of Stanfield
• Kevin Melendez, 19, of Umatilla – arrested on a charge of second-degree disorderly conduct
• Jose Carrillo Robles, 21, of Irrigon – arrested on a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm

“This inter-agency cooperation tonight is precisely what we were after,” said Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston. “Our citizens and visitors coming to Hermiston for the county fair will not have to deal with these 11 people. I’m extremely proud of the dedication of all officers and deputies who participated in what will become an annual event for our department.”
