Rita Louise Luggie died on Sept. 19, 2026 at her home in Boardman at the age of 77.
She was born on Oct. 17, 1948 in Kansas City, Mo. to Arthur and Leuita Neher Philip.
Rita was a woman of deep faith, known for her kindness, empathy, positivity, and wonderful capacity for joy and laughter. She gave generously of herself and cherished the people she loved. Her warmth and compassion touched many lives, and she will be remembered with great fondness and love.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026 at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Hermiston.
