Stanfield's Ramona Tuchardt Passes Away at 81

Ramona L. Tuchardt, former longtime Springfield resident, died on July 13, 2016 at her home in Stanfield at the age of 81.

She was born on March 4, 1935 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho to Chester and Ada Harvey Howard. She married Earl W. Tuchardt and they lived in Springfield. Ramona was the head cook at Mt. Vernon Elementary School in Springfield for many years. Earl preceded her in death in 2012 and Ramona moved to Stanfield, Oregon shortly thereafter to be near her daughter, Teresa. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and traveling. Ramona and Earl were snowbirds, spending winters in Arizona for many years.

She is survived by her daughter: Teresa Hunter & Mike Ramey, Stanfield, OR; brother: Harvey Howard & his wife Carol, Springfield, OR; granddaughter: Dominique & her husband Clayton; great grandchildren: Tira, Naomie, Elizabeth, Clayton Jr., Eleanor, & Maya; numerous nieces & nephews.

Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Tuchardt, her parents, and a brother: Michael.

A private family inurnment will be held at Springfield Memorial Gardens, Springfield.
