HERMISTON, Ore.-The City of Hermiston officially announced the launch of the My Hermiston app, designed to be an easy, convenient way for residents to stay both connected to City services and informed of community news and events, on November 4.

“The app strengthens two-way communication between residents and the City, creating real-time visibility into how requests are handled,” said Hermiston City Manager Byron Smith. “It’s also a great way for people to stay in the loop on local happenings, from public works updates to community events.”

Through the My Hermiston app, residents can report non-emergency issues, such as broken streetlights or utility concerns.

Residents can also submit service requests to the relevant city departments 24 hours a day, then track the progress of those requests, according to the City.

The My Hermiston app is available for download on the App Store or Google Play. Registered users of the app can set up notification preferences to receive updates about road closures, emergencies, and community events.

“My Hermiston will play a major role in how we connect with our residents,” said Smith.
