HERMISTON, Ore.-Kayak Public Transit wants to hear how residents would utilize a possible future shuttle service between Hermiston and Tri-Cities.
Operated by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) since 2001, Kayak currently operates on four fixed routes, and also has four commuter buses, primarily in Northeastern Oregon, but reaching into Southeastern Washington.
Kayak is now asking potential riders to take a brief survey about how they would most likely use a bus service between Hermiston and Tri-Cities. The survey is available online through the City of Hermiston and respondents will be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card to the grocery store of their choice.
Responses to the anonymous survey will help Kayak plan any future bus service as it seeks the funding, buses and staff for a future route.
