Three Irrigon Men Arrested After Robbery, Chase in Umatilla County

UMATILLA COUNTY, Ore. – Three men are behind bars on suspicion of theft after a robbery and car chase on the night of Feb. 26.

The incident began when the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) responded to reports of a theft from a business on Tower Road in Boardman around 9:21 p.m.

An MCSO Deputy quickly found the suspect’s car near Irrigon, however, the driver did not stop, starting a 45-minute chase that eventually included Boardman Police, Oregon State Police and the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the MCSO, the suspects were eventually stopped in Umatilla County and the 48-year-old driver of the car and his two passengers, a 32-year-old man and a 53-year-old man, all of Irrigon, were arrested.

The three men were booked into the Umatilla County Jail on parole and probation detainers, as well as suspicion of multiple offenses, including theft, trespassing and eluding.

The stolen property was returned to the business after the chase.
