Umatilla Electric Cooperative is celebrating National Cooperative Month with the people who make it possible – UEC members.

The co-op hosted member appreciation events on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Hermiston location and Thursday, Oct. 6 in Boardman. Attendees were served lunch by UEC employees and board members and were able to enjoy great weather and a variety of activities put together by the co-op.

UEC members in attendance were able to spin a prize wheel at a chance for bill credits and other prizes, learn about energy efficiency programs for their home or business, and enter a raffle for a wood fired pizza oven with accessories.

National Cooperative Month celebrations continue with weekly drawings for a $100 bill credit. UEC members still have time to enter to win these bill credits by visiting the UEC website and filling out the online giveaway form. A winner will be selected weekly through the month of October and only one entry per member is needed to be entered for the entire month of giveaways.

“Our members mean everything to us, we would not be here without them.” says Weston Putman, manager of public relations. “This month’s activities and giveaways are just a small token to show our appreciation for our member-owners.”
