His stops will be in La Grande, Elgin, Pendleton, Boardman, Heppner, Helix, Arlington, Rufus and The Dalles. Hermiston – Eastern Oregon’s largest city – is not on the congressman’s itinerary.

“These town hall meetings are another way I keep in close touch with the concerns of Oregonians,” he said. “I will answer questions from attendees and give an update on local issues that remain my priorities, including strengthening our rural communities, promoting access to public lands, protecting private water and property rights, and increasing access to quality, affordable health care,” Walden said.

Walden will also hold a roundtable meeting on travel management plans in La Grande, where he will discuss a bill he is writing to promote forest access for all. This legislation is the result of over a year of conversations with local counties and leading members of the motorized recreation community to craft a bill that can put local communities back in the driver’s seat.

Walden will also participate in the “Wee Bit O’Ireland” St. Patrick’s Day Celebration in Heppner, speak to the Pendleton Rotary, and meet with the mayor of The Dalles.
