Mildred Jean “Mickey” Johnson of Hermiston passed away on Aug. 14, 2026 in Richland, Wash. at the age of 86.
She was born on July 27, 1940 in Clatskanie to Millege and Mildred Daffern Sisco.
Mickey lived in many places during her childhood. She moved to Eastern Oregon in the early 1980s, where she met James “Jim” Johnson. The couple were united in marriage on March 20, 1982 in Irrigon. The couple travelled extensively following Jim’s work. After retiring, the couple settled in Hermiston where they have lived for the past 26 years.
Mickey enjoyed fishing and camping with Jim. She had attended the Cowboy Church in Hermiston for the past two years. She enjoyed going to a coffee social group on Mondays and Fridays.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, James “Jim” Johnson; son, Joe Dearborn; daughters, Gidgut Bishop and Annette Carlson; stepchildren, Tracy Johnson and Eve Byels; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be planned at a later time at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Umatilla.
